There are few groups of actors/directors that relate to one another more than the long-term creative relationship that Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi share, going back over 40 years. Since we first worked together in 1977 It’s a murder!Campbell and Remy have collaborated more than a dozen times, including in classic horror films such as Evil died (and follow it up) and Remy the pioneer Spider Man The films, the latter of which consisted of some of the comic world’s most beloved guilds.
But, which of these inscriptions is the most amazing? Well, sit back and relax as we’re about to break down all of the Bruce Campbell movies in Sam Raimi’s movies and decide the best of them all.
6. Winkie Guard (The Mighty and Powerful Oz)
Let’s start with Bruce Campbell’s short, hilarious cameo in Sam Raimi’s 2013 fantasy epic, The mighty and mighty Oz. Don’t let putting this look on the list fool you, Campbell is at his best as Winkie’s gatekeeper, the inept and easily deceived guard who lets a masked Oz (James Franco) and his party into Emerald City.
What makes this little look so fun, besides Campbell’s silly makeup and costumes, is the way the actor reads his lines and carries himself. Campbell’s rigid rendition is incredible here. Only if this reaction lasts a little longer.
5. Final Shemp (Darkman)
More than a decade before Sam Raimi sat behind the director’s chair Spider Man, Even before he comes back for much longer Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madnessthe horror icon has released a small but pivotal superhero movie called dark man Starring Liam Neeson in the title role. In a 30-year retrospective issued by The Hollywood Reporter In 2020, Bruce Campbell stated that he was Raimi’s first choice to play the deformed Peyton Westlake, aka Darkman, but Universal wasn’t too keen on the idea. But that didn’t stop Raimi finding a way to eventually get his old friend to play Darkman.
In the film’s final moments, when Westlake tells his love interest, Julie Hastings (Frances McDormand), he has to leave, the superhero takes on a different appearance, Bruce Campbell. Despite only a few seconds, the look on Campbell’s face completely penetrates you as he says goodbye to the love of his life before turning away and getting lost in the crowd.
4. Bubba’s Pizza Seller (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness)
One of the biggest rumors surrounding what has yet to be produced spider man 4 It was that Bruce Campbell would play Mysterio (which could have explained everything he did earlier Spider Man engraving). But, even though the movie never ended, Campbell landed a small role in Sam Raimi’s return to the superhero genre in 2022. Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness As a Bubba pizza seller on floor -838. Campbell appears after Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and America Chavez (Zochitel Gomez) arrive in the alternate universe, and the boy makes the most of his time.
When pizza seller Bubba calls on Earth-616’s Doctor Strange for being an impersonator of his version of reality (who died during the Battle of Titan), Strange casts a spell that leaves the poor man inflicting as much pain on himself as he was. Ash Williams owns in Evil died. The agony finally ends in the post credits scene, when Seller is released from the spell after what seems like a very long time.
3. Ring Announcer (Spider-Man)
Now it’s time for Bruce Campbell to star in the Sam Raimi movies. The tradition of Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) having awkward and sometimes uncomfortable encounters with characters played by the acting legend began in 2002. Spider Man, Campbell played the ring announcer who gave Parker his wrestling and later superhero name, Spider-Man (Parker originally called himself “The Human Spider”), before facing Bonesaw McGraw (“Macho Man” Randy Savage).
Although he only appears in the movie for one minute at most, Campbell makes the most of his screen time and technically gives the web bartender his famous name. This was just a taste of what was to come to Campbell in the coming years, at least in the Spider-Verse.
2. Maître d’ (Spider-Man 3)
In second place is Bruce Campbell’s portrayal of the Maitre d’In spider man 3. You know, the one tasked with taking out the engagement ring so Peter Parker can propose to Mary Jane Watson (Kristen Dunst). In the awkward scene, Parker tries to woo his old girlfriend to ask him to marry him, but it doesn’t go according to plan, especially after Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) gets up and makes MJ think about how to make Spider-Man. The guy accepted Stacey in a public appearance earlier in the movie. And it will get worse from there.
Oftentimes, Campbell’s character (and the other members of the waiting staff) will periodically go out and try to put the ring and other things down, but Parker is constantly waving at them. This engraving helps add some comic relief to one of the movie’s most depressing scenes, which gets rather dark. But still, it’s hard to compare with what comes next…
1. Snooty Usher (Spider-Man 2)
And last but not least is Bruce Campbell spider man 2 A cameo, in which he plays an arrogant apprentice who will not let unruly Peter Parker into the Mary Jane Watson show, no matter how late the crime fighter is. pleads his case. Let’s explain why this scene worked and why he is the best actor in Sam Raimi’s movie.
There’s just something about the way Campbell Parker’s character handles this scene that stands out above the rest. It begins with mentor Parker telling shaggy to tie his shoes and straightening his tie using incomplete sentences. Then he really cries at Parker, first because he’s late (he even points lightly to a sign) and then because he’s too loud (he puts his finger in his mouth like a kindergarten teacher). But what really drives home is the fact that Campbell’s personality never stops being graceful. I mean, just look at the way his hand slips under the “please calm down” sign. Wow!
