Elfen Lied

TOKYO MAGNITUDE 8.0

The fall 2014 anime, Your Lie in April from A-1 Pictures, follows a piano prodigy and a well-known child musician, Kousei Arima. 

He has lost his ability to perceive his piano sounds following the death of his mother.  

A few more years after, Kousei encounters Kaori Miyazono, an energetic musician who helps him realize the importance of playing music without restriction. 

It is not according to the strict, disciplined way the mother taught him. 

The show tells the story of Kousei’s recovery after he discovers that the art of music is more than just hitting every note precisely (and finds love with Kaori as well).  

However, just as the bright colors of the anime’s palette, Kaori’s joy conceals the impending tragedy.
