Unexplainable events force teens to put their fears about the future aside and focus on living and enjoying the moment. The high concept is handled logically and the romance never becomes cheesy. A clever, sharp and often funny ride.

A Quiet Place Part Two (2021)

John Krasinski’s sequel, A Quiet Place Part II, revisits the Abbott family as they are forced to leave their home and travel into the unknown. With a new baby on the way, the journey is risky and tense, as the younger members of the family have to step up and take the lead.

World War Z explored the repercussions of a global disease all the way back in 2013, but in this case, this pest has transformed the infected into stray zombies. Starring Brad Pitt as a former UN investigator, Jerry Lynn, the film follows the spread and potential cure of a widespread zombie plague.

It tells the story of a supernatural dance academy run by a group of magicians, and featuring themes such as motherhood, guilt, and abuse of power. If psychological horror (and just a touch of blood) is right up your alley, consider checking out The Neon Demon. The movie, starring Elle Fanning, Jena Malone, and Keanu Reeves, follows an aspiring model (Fanning) as she tries to make her way into this violent industry — at any cost.
