Goku recalls bits and pieces of memories of the short time he spent on the planet Vegeta. The Saiyan race is not all about sins and bloodshed; Instead, the race of warriors stands out for the pride they hold. Recording the Battle of Bardock vs. Gas 40 years ago teaches Goku the essence of Saiyans pride and how it contributes to their unwavering strength of will.

Monaito wears two Saiyans in their classic warrior, thus bringing back nostalgic memories for big Dragon Ball fans. Come on, we all wanted to see Goku fight like a ruthless Saiyan (at least in one outfit). Well, they don’t have a lot of time to waste in reminiscing about their pasts as the drafts ended up with gas running towards them. Here, we bring you the latest chapter updates and spoilers for Dragon Ball Super manga.

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 84: Spoilers and Raw Scans

Dragon Ball Super Ch 84 continues the story of Goku’s father who was telling it. After defeating Gas and narrowly surviving Elec’s attack, Bardock fell unconscious in Namekian’s arms. Thanks to Monaito’s healing powers, Bardock is back on his feet in no time and back to Planet Vegeta. Meanwhile, Goku breaks out in a cold sweat and begins to remember the days he spent on planet Vegeta with his family.

Goku in Saiyan Pod

We see the flashbacks of baby Goku seeing his parents from the Saiyan Pod. A little later, he wakes up to see a few frames of life from Raditz and his parents on the planet Vegeta. The Saiyans weren’t a savage race of mad barbarians, and they had passion like any other kind. In another case, Goku remembers being woken up by Bardock’s hitting the glass. This was the last goodbye before Goku was sent to Earth moments before Planet Vegeta was destroyed.

Goku understands the pride of a Saiyan

Back in the present, Goku tells Vegeta that he finally understands the Saiyan pride that Vegeta continues to talk about. Well, that’s something Vegeta always wanted to hear from his archenemy, and he also made it clear that he should preserve the Saiyan’s pride and not their sins. The chapters assert that only because of Bardock’s desire Goku and Raditz escaped disaster on the planet Vegeta. Monaeto smiles as he sees how Bardock has found a way to pass his will even years after his death. He says that everyone should have pride and not thirst for revenge.

Granola is still lying unconscious and not in a combative state. However, Monaito healed the Saiyan duo somewhat, and put on classic Saiyan armor. Note that Goku looks like a mirror image of his father in this outfit. Before they can waste any more time on the dirty chats, Gas appears and advances towards them with all his might.

What do you expect next in Dragon Ball Super?

DBS Chapter 85 will resume with the unfinished battle of Goku vs Gas. Well, this time Goku will fight more like a Saiyan than a Kame-style fighter. As Whis explained, all individuals are built differently, and Goku must discover his own version of the Ultra Instinct. Thus, Goku will attempt to apply Ultra Instinct with an angry heart instead of a calm heart, resulting in a mixture of Ultra Ego and Ultra Instinct. Although it’s just a theory, it seems pretty compelling after looking at how the events of the “Last Surviving Granola” arc are laid out.

Goku and Vegeta will fight side by side again
