1. “Little Giant”

Hinata was 162.8 cm tall when he started high school and had grown to 164.2 cm by mid-year. Next to Nishinoya, he is the shortest member of the Karasuno volleyball team. Due to his slim build and diminutive stature, he is often mistaken for a high school student (or even an elementary school student in some cases). Hinata is short for a volleyball player, but what he can’t cover in height, he does with spurs. Because of his small stature, he was sometimes referred to as a “dwarf” and looked down upon by others. However, he does not deter him as he has a weapon against his height in the form of his “godly” jump. As a result, Hinata has earned a reputation as a skilled player.

Hinata was undergoing rigorous training in Brazil after the time jump in which he grew to 172cm and developed a graceful yet powerful body as a result of playing on the beach and adhering to a strict diet and healthy regimen.

Hinata makes up for his lack of physical height by possessing amazing jumping power. His vertical jump is 1.23 meters, or about 50 inches (48.4). He can jump diagonally to avoid obstacles thanks to his mobility and agility. To raise the blocking height, he can add an increase. Passers-by often describe his actions as “flying” due to his impressive jumps. Hinata learned a new jumping technique thanks to Kageyama’s instructions after training camp Arc and seeing a new “Little Giant” – Korai Hoshiumi.

He makes a much higher jump with better mid-air stability by directing his running momentum toward the balls of his feet. It is known as the “BAM” jump because it makes a loud noise. Hinata is the middle barrier for Team Karasuno, despite his height. While his small stature doesn’t always allow him to grab blocks of stuff, his jumping height and reflexes allow him to be in the right position at the right moment to capture the drift, allowing Karasuno’s squad to counterattack.

Murasi Ayumu, Hinata’s voice actor, was born in Los Angeles. So it is normal for him to speak English. Hinata is also a slacker, as he frequently notices falling asleep in class. Maybe it was because of his excessive volleyball practice. Hinata had stated before the final exam in the Tokyo Mission arc that he had never received a double-digit score on any of his school’s exams. He once failed an English exam by writing his answers in the wrong place on the answer sheet. Yachi indicated that all of his answers were correct. Shuyu’s excellent temperament allows him to get along with a wide range of people. While other shonen heroes are undoubtedly open-minded, it’s not uncommon to come across a character who realizes that a joke that works for one person may not work for another. Shoyo is fully aware of the situation. This tendency was evident early in the series when he approached Kenma on the street because he recognized his volleyball shoes. Few people approach a stranger on the street and start a conversation, but Shoyu did just that. The second time this had happened was when she met Shoyu On. Shoyo was able to befriend Aone despite the fact that he rarely talks. Their interactions are usually quiet, but their respect for each other is palpable. There’s a gag going on in the fandom and the series that Hinata tends to encounter with new friends/opponents when going to the bathroom.

Although Shoyo hates his nickname, his abilities as a decoy make him an important member of the team and the team often uses this method to earn points, of course, Shoyo has no clue before this trick that gives the best result due to his honesty. Hinata can easily switch from the left side to the right side of the field before his opponents respond. On the other hand, his speed could be a hindrance if he travels too fast, as too much momentum could cause him to crash into the net or another player.
