I think I was born with special strength for the purpose of defeating Muzan Kibutsuji. But I was lacking. In the end, I failed. Because of that, many more people will die. And that pains me.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni to Sumiyoshi

(継つぎ国くに 縁より壱いち) is his name. If you are talking about the strongest demons layer ever or asking who is the strongest demon slayer Yoriichi Tsugikuni is the answer. He is the legendary character who lived 500 years ago during the Golden Age of Demon Slayers, he is the only man who was able to defeat Muzan in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Michikatsu Tsugikuni and Yoriichi are twin brothers, Yoriichi is the younger while Michikatsu Tsugikuni is the big brother who joined the Twelve Kizuki and become a demon.

Appearance

Just like his brother, a tall, muscular man with long hair with red tips, as well as a Demon Slayer Mark on the top of his face just like Tanjiro, he looks normal with a cold look on his face who rarely show emotions.

What is the relation between Yoriichi and Kokushibo?

Yoriichi and Kokushibou are twin brothers, which means they are related by blood. Also, Kokushibo’s name as a Human was Michikatsu Tsugikuni but he changed his name when he become a demon.

In addition to that, Yoriichi as the youngest brother trained his oldest brother because of his talent and strength.

In the ears of Yoriichi there are two Hanafuda earrings created by his mother just like Tanjiro’s earrings who got them from his descendants which come from Yoriichi.

Personality

Yoriichi wasn’t easy to show his emotions, instead, he is known most of the time for his respectful and calm personality besides a face without expressions, he even was killing demons without showing expression. People also weren’t able to define his emotions as happy or sad, However, he was unassuming as he sees himself as a normal person with nothing special even he was the best and strongest demon slayer at that time till now.

Even his look that he doesn’t care about anything but he actually feels a lot, happiness, sadness, and anger also such as when he met Muzan the king of demons. Besides all of this, he is nice just like Tanjiro but with a different personality as he helps people and kills demons.

Michikatsu was loved by Yoriichi when he was a child while he said that he will be with his brother’s dream of being the strongest samurai in the land by becoming the second strongest after his brother Michikatsu who will be number one. As a child, he was the same, calm with almost no words as his family thought he is deaf because he wasn’t saying any words at all.

Overall Abilities: Yoriichi is considered the strongest demon slayer in history as he was born with a Demon Slayer Mark besides having the talent just in his childhood and along with a beautiful and strong body so he has been marked as a miraculous prodigy.

Demon Slayer Mark: Yoriichi was born with it and considered as the origin of the Demon Slayer Mark that gives her holder more power and unlike the other marks users in his era he wasn’t affected by this mark along with the ability to live more than others for almost 85 years old.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni is actually related to Tanjiro Kamado as there is some relation in his blood. There is a long history in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba as it is all related to the hero of the story Tanjiro Kamado.
