Masks required at guest events/speakers, dances and exhibition hall


Work crew Anime Central Wednesday’s (ACen) event confirmed regions and events that require masks at this year’s event:

  • All guest and committee events

Staff will enforce masks in these areas. The conference still strongly recommends that attendees wear masks.

ACen staff announced Monday that this year’s conference will no longer require masks, a COVID-19 vaccine, or negative COVID-19 tests. The staff claimed that his policies “are based on current CDC guidelines and comply with the requirements of the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center and local and state health authorities regarding large indoor events.” Attendees must acknowledge whether they have symptoms of illness or have been near others infected with COVID-19. Staff say it will “continue to monitor requirements and guidance from state and local health departments.”

The event website also discloses that there will be no refunds or carryovers for badge holders.

Anime Central 2022 will be held at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois from May 20-22.
