On July 22 and 23, Briouze in the Orne will host the Art Sonic festival. And for this new edition, the cast is majestic.

This year, the festival sonic art celebrates his birthday. For 25 years he has been making the town of Briouze and all of Normandy dance around crazy programming. On July 22 and 23, this independent and associative festival will receive Orelsan, Vald, Ziak, Sopico or even Todiefor. But this edition also marks the return to the stage of Skip The Use, as well as NTO and Billx.

To bring this fantastic cast to life, the festival traveled back three decades, inspired by the universe ofAkira. The performers have been recreated in the manga world, and obviously outfitted in the protagonist’s trusty red smock. The Art Sonic logo, like that ofAkira, is graffitied by the number 25, which embodies the anniversary of the festival. Orelsan, Vald, Ziak and 22,000 festival-goers

In 1996, Briouze only welcomed 300 festival-goers, twenty-five years later, the city expects more than 22,000. Complete at each of its last five editions, Art Sonic has welcomed big names from the rap scene: Joey Starr , IAM, $-Crew, MHD, Damso, Rilès or even Caballero & JeanJass performed on the festival stage.

Today, Art Sonic is positioned as the most important cultural event in the department. With 550 volunteers, the festival is also eco-responsible: short circuit purchases (local products), waste management (80% of waste sorted in 2019). Values ​​at the service of a grandiloquent festival, which will take up residence on July 22 and 23. With parking, cashless and camping completely free, the price of the 2-day pass is €70.
